Challenging Case MDS-PAS Rounds

MDS Members and non-members from within the Pan American section are invited to submit interesting and educational video cases that they wish to present during the Challenging Case MDS-PAS Rounds.

During the Challenging Case MDS-PAS Rounds, attendees will witness clinical experts evaluate a case by phenomenology, syndromic classification and differential diagnosis. Presenters will discuss complex movement disorder cases which emphasizes unusual or challenging presentations of common diseases or common presentations of rare diseases where therapeutic strategies are critical. The audience will have the opportunity to learn from the systematic analysis of each of these cases.

  Case Submission Eligibility
  • MDS Members and non-members from within the Pan American section are invited to submit interesting cases.
  • To make the most of this learning experience, the case presenter should be a student, resident, fellow or junior in training.
  • Selected case presenters must be prepared travel to the 2nd PAS Congress in Miami, FL, to present their case during the scheduled session.
  • There is no fee to submit a case for consideration in the Challenging Case MDS-PAS Rounds.
  • All cases must be submitted and presented in English.
  • Cases that are to be presented during the Challenging Case MDS-PAS Rounds should not be presented as an abstract during the poster sessions.

 

  Presentation Details

Presentations will entail a brief clinical description and a well-edited video of no more than 3 minutes. All cases should have a known diagnosis which will be shared at the end of the presentation.

Selected case presenters will participate in the Challenging Case MDS-PAS Rounds to present their video case to the panel of MDS Experts during this live session.

Selected case presenters will be given instruction on how to prepare their presentation and present their case during the Challenging Case MDS-PAS Rounds.
